Edward Baltes, M.D. – E.A.A.F.P
Dr. Edward Baltes is a graduate of Youngstown State University (BA) and received his MD degree from The Ohio State University. He then graduated from the Mt. Carmel Family Practice Residency. He is board certified in both Family Practice and Bariatric Medicine. He has been a family practice physician at Fairway Family Physicians since 1979 as well as working at the Central Ohio Nutrition Center. He is also a member of OSMA, COAFP, OAFP, AAFP, ASBP, and COAM.
Robert May, M.D.
Dr. Robert K. May received his BA degree in zoology and chemistry at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He received his MD degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed the Family Practice Residency at Mt. Carmel Medical Center, and also passed the board certification for family practice in 1979. Presently he is in private practice and works at the Central Ohio Nutrition Center. He has also served as a clinical assistant professor at the Ohio State University.
Richard Lutes, M.D.
Dr. Richard Lutes graduated from DePauw University and received his MD degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is board certified in Family Practice and is also a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). He has served as the assistant director of Grant Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program. He has also had a private family practice, and has worked as an ER and urgent care physician. He is a member of the Obesity Society and has given numerous presentations at the meetings. He has served as the Medical Director of the Central Ohio Nutrition Center for the past 10 years.
J. Thomas Broyles, M.D.
Dr. J. Thomas Broyles enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in Viet Nam before attending college. He received his BS degree in microbiology and his MD degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Mt Carmel Medical Center where he had served as Chief Resident during his third year. In 1979 he passed the board certification examination of the American Board of Family Practice. He is currently in private practice as well as working at the Central Ohio Nutrition Center.
Judy Loper, Ph.D, R.D., L.D.- Executive Director
Dr. Judy Loper graduated from The Ohio State University with a PhD in Human Nutrition and minors in Nutritional Biochemistry and Exercise Physiology. She also received a MS degree in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University and a B.S. in Dietetics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Since 1979 she has been the Director of the Central Ohio Nutrition Center overseeing operations and research activities. She has given numerous presentations around central Ohio and the US on nutrition and obesity treatment. She is a member of the Columbus Dietetic Association, the Ohio Dietetic Assocation, the American Dietetic Association, and the Obesity Society.
