In 1979, four family practice physicians and a PhD nutritionist, concerned about obesity’s impact on health, founded The Central Ohio Nutrition Center, or CONCI for short. They had a vision that a comprehensive weight loss program utilizing OPTIFAST could help many who struggled to lose weight. Now, 44 years later, CONCI is one of the largest OPTIFAST centers in the U.S.

The Science Behind Our Program
OPTIFAST was developed by scientists and physicians almost 50 years ago. It has been widely researched with 130 published studies demonstrating its effectiveness. Results from the most recent study show that OPTIFAST generated twice as much weight loss, and higher rates of clinically meaningful weight loss, versus a reduced-calorie food-based program.

With several active members of the Obesity Medicine Association and The Obesity Society, we stay up to date on the latest research and developments in the fields of obesity and nutrition.
